Support Establishing the Northern Colorado Trail

Greetings fellow outdoor enthusiasts and long trail seekers! Over the past year, I've planned and successfully connected a long trail path from the Dunraven Trailhead near Estes Park to Glenwood Springs, covering 292.1 miles and more than 90,000 feet of elevation change (ascent + descent).
I now work toward establishing it as a legitimate trail to thru-hike. There are a couple of barriers which will hold this process up.
First, there are a couple of short sections that pass through questionable property, so contacting the landowners is necessary. (Winter 2025)
Reroutes have been added to the Trail Guides, Maps and GPS Files resource pages.
Second, when I hiked the trail at the end of August 2024, there were a couple of sections in wilderness areas which had no blowdown maintenance and made for very treacherous backpacking. (Late Spring/Early Summer 2025)
Both of these will need to be addressed, alongside checking in on other parts of the trail that could use some attention after the record fires the region experienced in 2020.
Contributions will go directly toward the establishment and maintenance of the Northern Colorado Trail.
Thank you,
Kevin “Sunshine” Silvernale
